Author Seth MacFarlane produced, directed, and starred in the film, released in May 2014.

Seth MacFarlane, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, is a writer, director, producer, singer, comedian, animator, actor and voice actor (to name just a few of his occupations). He is the creator of the television show Family Guy and co-creator of American Dad and The Cleveland Show, for which he also voices many of the shows’ various characters. The ‘Family Guy empire’ is valued at $2 billion, and is one of the most watched, streamed and downloaded television shows. MacFarlane is also the executive producer of Dads, a live-action sitcom debuting this week on Fox. As a singer, MacFarlane has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall and released an album of American standards, Music Is Better Than Words, in 2011. Ted, starring MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, was his feature-length directorial debut. A sequel is in the works.
